Ellkiiyn, the fire breathing, flying Dykarin dragon shape shifters, are a dying breed. The four clans, Vaprus of Aikanshin, Terraid of Rabikan, the Aqueena of Kelkiki and the Infernea of Mitikan have for centuries held a benign guardianship over the lands and fostered a peaceful existence of all species in Dykarin.
Pure Ellkiiyn bloodlines have always been highly valued, but breeding is marred with difficulties and many Ellkiiyn partner in their sachan form with other species and breed mixed-blood offspring, the despised Khimaera. These creatures have minimal rights and are subject to inequality, prejudice and derision by pure blood Ellkiiyn.

When Taminisha crash lands on Oventi she finds sanctuary instead of death with Khimaera outcasts and the three Siblings.
But that security is threatened as Nyket continues to ravage Dykarin but resistance against him is building.
Rabikan falls to Nyket as Adakan rescues his soulmate Jycosa and flees back to the sanctuary of Mitikan, the only clan still free of the scourge of Nyket.
In Mitikan with Guardian Okeyon’s assistance Larkin rallies the Khimaera, refugees and surviving Ellkiiyn to train and prepare for a final battle against Nyket.
Tarlitek brings Jabrikan the young heir apparent to Aikanshin out of hiding to lead all Ellkiiyn to freedom and restore the true Guardians of the Clans and kill Nyket.
